One thing that I regularly ask myself is:
Did I grow as a person this year?
If the answer is — “Yes, so much!” — my heart is happy.
If the answer is — “Not that much.” — something clearly went wrong.
I am addicted to growth. I am obsessed with it.
To me, it’s a matter of survival: not physical, but spiritual.
Once you realize that you have been brainwashed most of your life by the unconsciousness around you, regaining your power of choice over your values becomes imperative.
That’s why — as many other fellow seekers — I am constantly looking for insights and inspiration from books, podcasts, TedTalks and what-not.
Sometimes, is in the simplicity of a powerful quote that we find a bit more clarity in our journey.
These are the 10 quotes that reshaped the most my values this year 🙏:

Human beings aren’t wired to function as an individual. We’re wired tribally, to act as part of a group. We know how to fit into the band and the tribe. What we don’t know is how to be alone. We don’t know how to be free individuals. The truly free individual is free only to the extent of his own self-mastery. While those who will not govern themselves are condemned to find masters to govern over them. | Steven Pressfield

Willpower is not the answer. Self-image management is.
Trying to escape our auto-sabotaging patterns won’t lead us very far. The mind always needs a pattern to follow, regardless of where it leads. We need to replace a bad habit with a good habit. A negative belief with a positive belief. A limited self-image with a more empowered one.
Value: Do not strain, redirect.
